We're 56 days away from the Silver State Nevada Open Road Challenge (May 14-17) and only one Pantera is registered. I'll let you  guess is ready to go.

So here's my shout out for some volunteers for the NORC.  I haven't done a good job of contacting many of you the last few months.....And right now I got allot of bad news stories from some of you about 401K and job losses....... Call me the eternal optimist but I gotta believe there is at least 'one' other Californian who is not afraid to step outside the box and be ready to rock and roll in 56 days in Nevada at the NORC in May.

Michael Frazier has done a great job of recruiting 4-5 Pantera owner's for the Big Bend ORR so we will be well represented in Texas next month.  I am disappointed I can't handle the expenses of both the NORC and the Texas ORR because Mike does an excellent job of leading the team at Fort Stockton.

Its always allot more fun when there is at least one other Pantera or Mangusta owner with me  as we liberate the town of Ely and the Green Lantern and once again win the Hooker's Choice Award.  If I have to go there alone and fight off the hordes of Corvette and Viper owner's rest assured I will do so with great enthusiasm.

I also know this last year has been tough one on a lot of you. Job loss, 401K/pension and stock funds disappearing....some of you rebounding from divorce or job relocations and some of you gotta be saying or at least thinking, "where the hell is my bailout?"....... yea I hear ya.  Its rough out there. And having experienced every one of those challenges above I know what many of you are going through.

As JB once said, "open road racing is not for everyone"....but for the few who have experienced it or still want to try it now is the time to step up and be counted.  Again if you who can be ready or think you can get your Pantera or Mangusta ready in the next two months I'll do what ever I can to help you.

In the meantime check out the Team Pantera Racing website at <www.TeamPanteraRacing.com> as AJ has done a great job updating the site. Also check out the SilverState web site as well  <www.sscc.us> for tech rules and other registration requirements and let me know if you have any questions. If you think you can make it to Ely for the NORC the first thing you want to do is get motel reservations in Ely....the list of hotels (mostly already full) and motels is on the SS website but the smaller motels are still available.

Either way I look forward to representing the List, TPR and POCA this year in Nevada.

Thanks,
