TPR Challenge

Do you have what it takes to be the best?

Gary Bartley took on and won the first TPR Challege by starting -and- finishing an Open Road Race in his Mangusta, read more about that here. Now Mad Dawg has set the bar higher than it's ever been set before. Are you the man, or woman who will break this one? Mad Dog would like to see -any- Pantera come out and enjoy the thrill of Open Road Racing. For the best of the best though, he's keeping a special sponsorship available; this is his new challenge.

The challenge from Mad Dog himself:

The 1st Unlimited Pantera or Mangusta to 'average' at least 177 MPH (Jr.'s old record) at Silver State or on any of the other 7 ORR's*, TPR will not only pick up the registration costs like we did for Gary who piloted the 'first' Mangusta to start and finish an ORR we will also pick up your food and accomodations and give you all the beer at the Green Lantern you can consume. This is not a wager, but a full sponsorship of your event expenses if you meet the challenge.

All expenses paid:

  • Registration
  • Food
  • Lodging
  • All the beer you can drink

All YOU have to do is:

  • Pilot your Pantera or Mangusta
  • Start AND Finish the race
  • Average at LEAST, 177 MPH (Jr. Wilson's old record for a Pantera)

But remember:

177 MPH is not a walk in the park, it's a serious high speed run on an open road with twists, turns, rises and dips. Your preparation is crucial to success. All takers should make sure they contact Dennis Antenucci and/or other unlimited racers who have run ORR events. Improper preparation can lead to disaster, and fatalities. We want to celebrate a winner, not a tombstone.

So if you want to become the best of the best, start early, make preparations, get the right Pantera or Mangusta put together and take on the challenge.

* Must be AVERAGE speed, NOT Top Speed at any santioned ORR even. Does not include off road events like Bonneville
