The general height of both appears to be the same. The actual pressure plates are very much identical, but what about the entire assembly?

P5080009
Height to the throw-out bearing surface is 2-5/8 on the Napa unit. This is a full quarter inch higher, which means it's that much more -toward- the transmission. This concerns me. It means the throw-out bearing would have to be adjusted a quarter inch

This is a side view of the lever on the Napa pressure plate. See how it's shaped differently. This explains why it sticks up a quarter inch farther.

The bob-weight at the end of the lever, of the unit I pulled from the Pantera. Small.

P5080013
The bob-weight at the end of the lever, of the Napa unit, much larger. I don't know this has a large bearing on anything and I don't think it will get in the way of anything in the bell housing.
