Team Pantera Racing

TPR Challenge Coin Coin Back

Coin Challenge

Many members of Team Pantera Racing have served in the Armed Forces.  Dennis "Mad Dog" Antenucci himself served in various roles including Special Forces.  A tradition in the Special Forces going back decades is that of a challenge and response to ascertain bona fide members.  You can read more about the Special Force Coin Challenge here. In the latest traditions, the coin challenge is held up as a symbol of camaraderie, to show membership in the organization, to show others you -are- part of the "In Crowd."

Team Pantera Racing now introduces the same Challenge.  Members who have earned the coin are expected to carry it at all times and respond to all challenges.  The rules are rather simple:

  1. A Member invokes a challenge by presenting their Team Pantera Racing coin high in the air and loudly announcing a "coin check."   Depending on the situation, a coin check may be initiated by loudly placing the coin on a table or bar such that others being challenged are aware of the coin check in progress.  Accidentally dropping your coin on the floor or any other surface that resounds the call of a coin check is considered a "coin check;" be prepared to pay the price.
  2. All those being challenged must respond by drawing their own Team Pantera Racing coin and presenting it to the Challenger.  You must present a Team Pantera Racing challenge coin.  Note:  Coins other than a Team Pantera Racing challenge coin are invalid for this coin check.  However, Team Pantera Racing members are known to honor military brethren by buying them a drink if they happen to produce an official unit awarded challenge coin. Always travel well prepared.
  3. If you are challenged and can not produce a Team Pantera Racing coin, you must buy the challenger and the group a round of drinks.  Suitable other sacrifices may be called for if the situation is not in a drinking establishment.
  4. You are allowed to take one step and reaching with your arm, retrieve your coin, otherwise if you still can't reach it, too bad.
  5. If everyone being challenged properly responds with a Team Pantera Racing challenge coin, then the challenger must buy the round of drinks or perform the alternate sacrifice.
  6. Failure to make good on the challenge may be considered a crime and will require forfeiture of your Team Pantera Racing challenge coin.
  7. A Coin Challenge may be initiated at any time and in any place, be prepared.  There are no exceptions to the rules whether clothed or naked, you must product your Team Pantera Racing challenge coin.
  8. Team Pantera Racing challenge coins modified to be something other than a coin, such as a keyring, belt buckle, necklace or other device are no longer considered "coins" and will not be honored  A Team Pantera Racing challenge coin placed in a pouch and carried in a pocket or around the neck are considered valid as long as the coin has not been modified.

DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT YOUR TEAM PANTERA RACING CHALLENGE COIN

TPR Veterans, Please Contact Dennis (Mad Dog) Antenucci to see if you have a coin award coming to you.

Anyone else can try to join the ranks by buying their very own TPR Challenge Coin.
